Welcome to the Oozak Challenge Blog!
We can tell that you all are enjoying the challenges and your certainly giving us tons of inspiration with your entries!  Take a look at all the great ones from last month's 2 Papers and Embellies challenge!! What? July already you say?? YES!! I'm so excited to be the hostess for this month's Oozak.com Blog Challenge!  I'm Julie Masse, by the way, and let me start by thanking you all for the warm welcome and to Rusty for this fun gig! :) The theme for July's challenge is Bright Colors!  Now it's totally up to you how you choose to interpret the challenge, but you must have FUN

Now, let's take a look at what the Oozak.com Design Team has made for the challenge...

Julie Masse

I had so much fun making my card - bright colors are really my favorites, I love happy, sunny shades!  I used Lunar Lights from Lawn Fawn (seriously check out the cuteness of all the Lawn Fawn stamps!!).  After I colored the lanterns with Copic Markers (Red: R24, R27, R29, Blue: B32, B24, B39) I added some texture and interest using Colorless Blender Fluid.  For the red lantern, I just dripped the blender fluid right from the bottle in big splotches.  Once it dried, I repeated the process until I liked the look - I was going for a "tie-died/blotchy" look!  For the blue lantern I used a small piece of a textured paper towel soaked with blender fluid and patted right onto the colored image. Click on the card to get a closer look at the texture!  The patterned paper in the background is from Hello Summer by Echo Park and it was simply pieced together by cutting up lots of wedges and then trimming it into a rectangle.

Sandy Allnock

We had such a fantastic response last month to Sandy's awesome video tutorial that she's turning it into a regular thing - Woot,Woot!  This month she's created 4 different cards - all using Bright Colors - showcasing different twine techniques.  She uses Toby and his puppy, Tia in Stitches and Tree Trimmin Kaylee, all from Some Odd Girl Stamps.  She used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp with an Acrylic Block and lots of yummy Twine!  The images were colored with Copic markers and she even saved the colors for us:

Mary Witter

Mary brightens things up with this little cutie in a sweet, yellow dress!  I'm a huge fan of yellow! The stamps are “Tilda with a Daisy” from Magnolia Stamps, and Great Impressions “just for you”.  She used Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink Ranger Mowed Lawn,  Distress Ink Ranger Salty Ocean inks and Lattice Rectangles from Spellbinders for the image panel.  A bit of Bakers Twine Peapod  adds just a sweet touch.  Here are the Copic colors she used:

Melanie Labelle

Melanie made this cute, summery card using I used a Saturated Canary image, Toes in the Sand, X-Press it  cardstock, patterned paper from Echo Park, the Paradise Beach collection, Memory Box Die/Sandal Border, Sticky Back canvas for the sandals, Gelatos, Cricut cart/Life's a Beach, Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Classic Scalloped Ovals.
Copic colors: Y15, Y11, Y0000, BG32, BG11, BG10, RV14, RV13, RV10, E37, YR24, YR20, E74, E00, E000, R20, RV02, E41, E40

Totally makes me want to head to the beach - actually we were just there yesterday! :)  Check out Melanie's blog, she definitely knows how to color!!

anaRy

And then we have this lovely from anaRy!  Seriously bright and ultra-colorful (but not obnoxiously so, kwim?)  It's just perfect and perfectly colored too! She used a sweet Gillli stamp, Copic markers, Lilly Bee Design paper and Poppy and Memory Box dies.  Copic colors:  Y11, Y15, Y18, Y38, YR23, W1, BG09, BG49, BG47, W1, W2, R29, R59.
