Challenge #3 :: Two Papers and Embellies!

Are you getting used to the rhythm here on the Oozak blog?
If not, get ready, because it's time for some big news-
we're introducing another new DT member:

Please leave her a big warm welcome here on this post-
also go pop over to her blog and share some love!
(and snag some inspiration while you're there - she's so gifted!)

Welcome to the Oozak Challenge Blog!
Your entries in last month's Spring Color challenge were amazing...if you need some inspiration, make a bloghop out of it for yourself and check out the 100+ entries! The winner chosen from last month's entries is posted in the right-hand sidebar on the blog - CONGRATS!!

It's my turn (I'm Sandy, did I forget to intro myself?) to give you a fun challenge to inspire you for June: use two patterned papers....and one or more embellishments! Easypeasy lemonsqueezy! I don't know if I can make a card without at least 2 papers, and what's a card without embellishing? (Ha! My blog is called "I Can't Stop Embellishing," so I guess you know a little about me just from that!) I hope you're going to be excited to play along...and we can't wait to see what you'll make...especially if you make your embellies by hand, I'd love to check them out!

I hope you find sunshine in your rain! I know you will find lots of inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Before you get started creating, our DT has some inspiration for you...

Below is my card...along with a little video I made to go along with it! The limerick was inspired by a conversation I had with some stamping friends about how we once "thought" we could make cards cheaper than buying them...until we just kept shopping...and shopping...and shopping.... :) The stamp is "This One" by Penny Black, stamped in Memento Onyx Black and colored with Copic Markers; papers are from the "Loyal" line from Authentique, and you can get that in a card-perfect 6x6 pad! The washi tape is from Queen & Co, and the shine on those little hearts is made with Glossy Accents by Ranger. Piercing was done with the Tonic/Tim Holtz Craft Pick. Leave us a comment about what your expectations were when you started crafting...were you as naive as me?

Mary used a circle side step template...this is just lovely! The image is stamped with Memento ink (tuxedo black) directly on to the scrapbook paper (BoBunny's TuTu Dot and Prima's Fairy Floral)  and colored with Copic Markers. The Art Impressions stamp is called "Pot of Daisies" and the sentiment is by Penny Black. Evergreen bough and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks; Dies are Labels Thirteen and Petite Scalloped Circles by Spellbinders; The pearl embellishments are Pearl Swirls by Lost & Found...gorgeous!

This is so beautiful! Melanie used Fireworks Ink Spray, Zing Embossing powder/Opaque White, MME paper/Howdy Doody, and Prima paper/Songbird. Her embellishments are the pearls and the flowers and leaves (which are sprayed with the Fireworks also)—yowsa! Go check out her blog for more lovely creations.

Anary made this stunning card to inspire you this month - WOW! Papers are by from the 6x6 pad called Victoria Garden by Echo Park, some lovely Distress Inks, Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

We have a supercool prize for you full of one of my favorites this month...PENNY BLACK stamps! Woohoo! And it'll be given to a randomly selected participant in the challenge. Don't let your chance go by! Be sure to leave a comment with your answer to the question in my video...can't wait to start checking out your creations! -Sandy
